I am not a Nun or a puritan: Tanushree Dutta
With a power packed performance in her film “Rama The Savior”, in which she has been cast opposite Saahil Khan, Tansuhree Dutta has joined the league of action stars in Bollywood. Hadi Ali Abrar is directing the film, which according to Tanushree is not a mythological film but an out and out action adventure thriller. “I play the unconventional role of a strong girl called Sameera in this film. When I heard the script, I realized that I would be in comfort zone when I do the role”, quips Tanushree when I meet her at her cozy apartment for this interview.
Believe it or not, to prepare herself for the role and get into the skin of her character in the film, Tanushree even went through a crash course in taekwondo with the action director of the film Peter Han. “The role that I am doing in “Raama The Savior” has been inspired by Lara Croft in Tomb Rider. What I liked about the film is the fact that it is not a violent film and hence meant even for kids. I had to get my posture correct and undergo a lot of training in weight to shrink because the role needed me to lose my weight.”
Says Tanushree excitedly. “It is for the first time in my career that I am doing a role like this. I even refused to let a double do some of the toughest action sequences. Then harder that I was pushed I felt the better was my performance. The USP of the film was that though there was no scope to show my emotion, I had ample scope to show my anger. I am glad that I bagged the role since the choice was narrow for actresses who would be willing to do a role like this.”
Tanushree has no regrets that she agreed to do a film like this with a new director and a hero like Saahil Khan who has not been able to make his presence felt in Bollywood. “Today in Bollywood there is a different wave. Today a film like Bheja Fry has clicked in a big way whereas big films like Love Story 2050 and Drona has tanked at the box office because the perception of the movie going public is changing drastically. I feel that it would be very boring to play the same kind of role in film after film and decided to take a chance because I wanted to be part of the change that would bring me happiness.”
Tanushree is practical. “Look here. I know that the biggest of the banners and the heroes would not come to me because I do not have a mega blockbuster film behind me. However, the films that I have done till now have all helped me grow as an actress and prove that I am quite versatile because I have not played safe by resorting to being typecast as an actress.”
Tanushree says that just to keep her busy she does not believe in signing each and every film that is dangled in front of her. “I have said No to a lot of offers but I have no regrets. I do not deny that I have been also part of bad films like Speed too in the initial days of my career because I was told that jo dikhta hain who hi iss industry mein biktha hain, but I am happy that I did not ruin my career by doing a lot of bad films. If I had, I cannot even hope that a film maker like say Yash Chopra would ever approach me with an offer to cast me in his film.”
Tanushree recently got into a spat recently with Nana Patekar on the sets of Horn OK Pleass. Talking about then unsavory incident, she says. “Men have always their own way of controlling situations around them. One way of that is by forcing themselves on others. Even women do that. I as a person do not like to be controlled. I like keeping a distance from others in general. If I like a person, it is different. I am not a Nun or a puritan. Nor am I promiscuous by nature. I do not like people encroaching my private space at any cost. Just because I appear to be peaceful it does not mean that I do not have an aggressive side to me”.
Tanushree says that though there are people like Nana Patekar, with whom she did an item number for the film Horn OK Pleass and Shona Urvashi who had directed Saas Bahu Aur Sensex who have tried to break her credibility in the industry, she is happy that there are directors like Priyadarshan and Subhash Ghai who have only words of praise as far as her professionalism is concerned. “I have worked with Priyadarshan in Bhaagam Bhaag and Subhash Ghai in Good Boy Bad Boy. None of them has said anything against me. I may not be the best of the actresses around today in Bollywood but can vouchsafe for the fact that I have the psyche of a professional.”
'Raaz..' success story unveiled!

Raaz – The Mystery Continues' is the first smash hit of 2009! The movie is expected to gross Rs. 35 cr in its first week itself. Emraan Hashmi and Mohit Suri were in Pune to celebrate the phenomenal response
'Raaz – The Mystery Continues' (RTMC) is now a certified first smash hit of 2009. The film has grossed Rs. 21 crores in the first 4 days and the projections for week 1 are a massive Rs. 35 crores!! To celebrate the success of their film, director Mohit Suri and Emraan Hashmi were in Pune for a brief visit. States Mohit, "We have had excellent feedback from everywhere especially Pune since the release of the film. So we are here to celebrate the success with the people of this city!"
This makes 'Raaz TMC' not only the most expensive horror film in Bollywood history but also the first smash hit of 2009!! Very few films in recent times – like 'Ghajini' and 'RTMC' have been a hit across the country, proving that good content has the power to appeal across strata – demographically as well as geographically. No wonder the producers of the film SONY BMG and Vishesh Films are in the seventh heaven.
Mukesh Bhatt, producer of the film, said "No one and nothing can stop a great product from doing its magic on the audience. All the audience care about is whether the film appeals to their sensibilities and is entertaining at the same time. 'RTMC' did just that…and the figures speak for themselves."
Shridhar Subramaniam, MD of SONY BMG, presenters of the film, is extremely happy with the opening. "It's a very special moment for SONY BMG, since the very first film we have co-produced has made history. Our association with Vishesh Films started with a bang with the music of 'Jannat', and with 'RTMC' we have taken it to a new height. This shows how effective the combination of Vishesh Film's creative and production expertise is and SONY BMG's path-breaking marketing. "
'RTMC' has been released across a 1000 screens. Everyone from producers to exhibitors and distributors is in celebratory mood. The film has delivered more than it had promised and has exceeded expectations for sure.
The strong word of mouth is the main thing that's worked in 'RTMC's favor. It's an unprecedented start in comparison to almost every other film released during this month till this very day. 'RTMC' is the biggest opener for Emraan Hashmi, Mohit Suri and more over for Vishesh Films ever. Mahesh Bhatt has stated, "Vishesh Films has produced close to 50 films – and many of them have been landmark films in terms of box office collections. But 'RTMC' has surpassed all of them. The weekend gross of RTMC is equivalent to the first week gross of 'Jannat'!!" Even from overseas, the response has been overwhelming as Dubai has clocked in huge numbers since the first screening.
Kercy Daruwala MD of SONY Pictures Entertainment India, distributors of the film in India, has said, "It's a great start! 'RTMC' has been a great success all over and we are only too proud to be associated in this venture with Vishesh Films. We're looking forward to many more such successful projects."
The very first film review by India's foremost Trade Analyst and Reviewer Taran Adarsh has given it a thumbs up! – "The story [Mohit Suri] is absorbing and Mohit treats the subject like a veteran, as if he knows the genre very well. There're moments that make your heart beat faster, you watch the events with eyes and jaws wide open…On the whole, 'Raaz - The Mystery Continues' is rich in the horror quotient and that is one of its major USPs, besides the highly competent performances by its principal cast and a lilting musical score. At the box-office, this one will continue the winning streak of Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt's Vishesh Films."
All of this is based on very real and first hand reactions of the nation's Bollywood fans and proves that 'RTMC' as a film has completely clicked with the audiences. Right from the first trailer, audiences have been waiting to watch Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut and Adhyayan Suman create magic on screen. Indeed, the performances are stellar and the film guarantees no disappointments whatsoever for anyone.

SRK carries mineral water to wash his hair

King Khan ke fab baalon ka raaz? Constant care and bottled waterMen have their cars, and women have their hair. Or so we thought. But men are as fussy when it comes to their locks. Case in point: Shah Rukh Khan.
Particular paani
The actor is very particular about his mane and makes sure he treats it well. He is finicky; not just about hair products, but also about the water he uses to wash his tresses.
When the actor shoots out of the city in remote places, where there is only hard water available, he carries mineral water to care for his locks.
During a shoot of Priyadarshan's Billu Barber in Pollachi, the actor ensured there was a steady supply of mineral water for his bath.
Bottled water only
A source reveals, "His hair reacts badly to hard water. He has a condition where his hair gets hard and loses its shine if he doesn't take good care of it.
And you can't have a bad hair day while shooting, so he only uses bottled water in such cases." On the sets of Billu Barber, it had become a joke, and everyone would tease him about it.
Once bitten...
Says his hair stylist who advised King Khan against using hard water, "It's important for styling that hair be washed with regular water.
In the past, SRK's hair got damaged when he used well water while shooting in remote locations during Paheli. After that, he has learned to be careful.
As an actor, you are in the business of looking good, so you better take care of your skin, body and hair. Also it affects the look and continuity in the film and he doesn't want to take any risks."
Akshay leaves Deepika behind, will work with Sonam

Akki has now signed up to star with Deepika's arch-rival Sonam
It has hardly been a few days since Chandni Chowk To China hit the marquee. But Akshay Kumar, who starred with Deepika Padukone in the film has already movef on.
The actor has roped in Dippy's arch rival (see box) Sonam Kapoor to star in Come On Pappu, directed by debutant director Rohit (David) Dhawan. Percept Picture Company and Akshay Kumar will jointly produce the movie.
Meant to be
Although Akshay had come on board the project some months back, the lead actress slot was open. A source reveals, "Had CC2C done well, Deepika would've been a part of this film.
But since their pairing hasn't clicked, a fresh jodi was in order. Enter Sonam. Rohit felt she'd suit the part and everyone agreed. It was meant to be. As Sonam's dates fell in place, she hopped on board.
Bete ke liye
The movie is expected to go on floors in August. Come On Pappu is a comedy drama and deals with the relationship between a chimp and Akshay.
Says an insider, "Come On... will be made on a budget of Rs 90 crore. Initially the film was to be directed by David Dhawan.
David's son Rohit was writing a script and when he narrated to the script to Akshay, the actor suggested that he it direct as well. He spoke to David, who was ready to step aside for his son's sake."
Rohit, who has studied cinema at New York University, has assisted his father David Dhawan in Partner. He was also responsible for designing the look of Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya.
Percept Holdings Jt MD Shailendra Singh remained unavailable for the comment.
OSO VS Saawariya
Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor's debut films Om Shanti Om and Saawariya released the same day. The films as well the actresses were pitched against each other professionally.
During the making of Sanjay Bhansali's film, there were rumours of the lead pair Sonam and Ranbir being involved.
Later, when The Kapoor boy began dating Deepika, things strained between him and his debut co-star. But all's well now.
Sonam Kapoor on Filmfare - Classy
I have no idea why is Filmfare featuring Sonam Kapoor on back-to-back covers. I know that Sonam Kapoor’s next movie Delhi 6 is up for release in couple of months, but this overexposure in the media will do her nothing. Moreover, Sonam should understand that she is not a model, and she is not even going to star in a Hollywood movie, so why this elite designer wear flaunting?
Anyway, here she is speaking about her first co-star and probably, first crush, Ranbir Kapoor, in January 2009 edition of Filmfare magazine. She also talks about Abhishek Bachchan and Delhi 6.
So guys, if you want to hold Sonam, go grab a copy of Filmfare magazine’s latest issue.
Kareena Sizzles on HiBlitz
Kareena Kapoor is riding high after the bumper success of her latest movie Golmaal Returns. Here she is on the cover of HiBlitz magazine’s November 2008 edition.Kareena can be seen wearing some exotic hot dresses in these pictures. No matter what anyone says, Kareena has the body and style to carry any kind of clothes.
Sonal Chauhan is Classy
Could I stop raving about Sonal Chauhan’s beauty? Probably not! Some say that Sonal looks and acts like Amrita Rao, but I totally refuse to buy their view. She has her own unique charm. There is a unique innocence in her face that lacks in most of the Bollywood girls.
Check out these new set of Sonal Chauhan pictures from her new photoshoot.
Bipasha Basu Looks Classy - Alcome Perfumes

Bipasha Basu does not have a perfume brand named after her yet, but she is definitely modeling for one. Bipasha can be seen these days modeling for Alcome brand of perfumes. Yeah, it sounds like a cheap imitation of popular brand Lancome.
Probably with Bipasha’s endorsement the brand should get some credibility.
Are you already rushing to the nearest supermarket to buy Alcome? :D
Check these exclusive posters of Bipasha Basu modeling for Alcome Perfumes.
Angelic Katrina Kaif for Nakshatra

The only thing I liked in the movie Hello was Katrina Kaif. Although she is there hardly for five minutes, she made that crappy movie at least watchable. If you guys have not seen the movie yet, let me inform you that she plays God/Angel in the movie. Yep, no kidding!
And guess what, she looks absolutely the part. I bet that no other actress could look like that.
Here she is looking like an angel modeling for Nakshatra Jewellery.
Meet the new age Chandramukhi - Kalki Koechlin

Newcomer actress Kalki Koechlin is playing Chandramukhi in Anurag Kashyap’s latest take on Devdas.
The modern version of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s classic novel Devdas is titled ‘Dev D’ with Abhay Deol in the lead and Kalki as Chandramukhi or Chanda and Punjabi actress Mahi Viz as Paro.
Interestingly this unconventional looking actress didn’t have much idea about the legendary character of the courtesan Chadramukhi.
She’s said, “I only knew she was glamorous and that she was a prostitute. Of course, I was a little intimidated…but at the same time it’s an interesting and a challenging role which separates you as a person and actor.”
She might sound nervous. Then too she did end up having her share of fun on the sets.
She’s said, “I was very nervous of the camera so I would not stop till the time they would say cut so the cinematographer asked me to walk out of the house and stop, but I just kept walking, cause I did not hear cut then I walked into the driveway and then on the road…and then I realized and came running back and there was no one, I went in and all of them were laughing at me.”

Kangna Ranaut bares it all for Dabboo

Bollywood actress Kangna Ranaut, who is riding high on the success of FASHION surely doesn't believe in covering it up. If Fashion wasn't enough for her fans, then be ready to be attacked by the ocular pangs of Kangna in her forthcoming film Raaz 2-The Mystery Continues, in which she stars with her real-life beau Adhyayan Suman.
But till the time one waits for the film to release, one can see hot n sizzling Kangna through the lenses of ace photograpger Dabboo Ratnani in his 2009 calender. The Gangster girl has surely redefined the term 'hot' and that too in her own way and style!

Jiah Khan kickstarts PETA campaign for birds

Bollywood starlet Jiah Khan is the latest celebrity for PETA's campaign against glass-coated kite strings, which are injurious to birds.
The actress, who recently starred in blockbuster Ghajini, is dressed as a wounded bird wrapped in kite string and next to the tagline 'Cut the Glass-Coated Manja, Not Birds' in the new advertisement for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA).
Shot by ace photographer Farrokh Chothia the new ad coincides with the festival of Makar Sankranti, which is also traditionally the time when people fly kites. With the increasing use of glass-coated manja, thousands of birds are killed or maimed by getting entangled in the manja, a spokesperson of PETA said.
Jiah Khan, who debuted in Bollywood with Ram Gopal Varma's controversial film Nishabd opposite Amitabh Bachchan is the latest to model for the animal rights organisation. "Glass-coated manja is a public health hazard and causes an excruciating death for birds who get entangled in it," Jiah Khan said in a statement.
"We're asking participants in the Makar Sankranti contests and all kite-flying competitors to immediately stop using glass-coated manja and to conduct their sport in a way that isn't deadly to humans and wildlife," she said.
Apart from actors like Shilpa Shetty, John Abraham, Celina Jaitely and Anushka Shankar have previously worked with the organisation.
Salman And Ajay On The Sets Of London Dreams In Chandigarh

One of the keenly awaited films of this year is the Ajay Devgan, Salman Khan and Asin starrer ‘London Dreams’ directed by Vipul Shah. After completing major portions of the movie in London and Paris, the cast and crew are now busy canning some scenes in and around Chandigarh. Salan and Ajay were spotted shooting for the movie at a railway station in Mohali and what was most interesting was their get ups.
While Ajay was looking cool wearing a mud colored jacket on the top of a bright red T-shirt and jeans, it was Salman who was seen in a rather amusing look. Salman was dressed as a typical person from the interiors of Northern India sporting an ordinary checked shirt with a sweater and a pagdi.
If the buzz is to be believed, both Salman and Ajay play rock stars in the movie. However, going by this picture, it seems that Salman’s character would definitely need a makeover before he can qualify to be anywhere close to a rock star. Wonder if that is where Ajay is dragging him…for an immediate makeover. What’s your guess guys.

Do not foget to catch the coming episode of Indian Idol 4 because it would not be a usual one. The entertainment quotient will be heightened up by a celebrity guest and the guest in question in none other than the very beautiful Deepika Padukone. She set the stage on fire by dancing and singing with the contestants. The comfort level of the viewers and the contestants with Deepika was fabulous as she is very much down to earth and soft nature person.
Saif Ali Khan is dead serious about Kareena

It appears that Saif Ali Khan is dead serious about Kareena and may pop the question any time. Everyone must have guessed it the day Saif said that positively he has tattooed her name. It’s on his forearm. And very visible to the world, on being asked about his new tattoo means of Kareena’s name. But though he still hasn’t done so, friends of the couple say that Saif’s never been more committed in a relationship. They say that marriage is definitely on the cards. A close friend of the two told that there’s a fierce and single-minded determination in Saif to make this relationship work for keeps. And, it isn’t a defiant determination to disprove the cynics who say it won’t last. Saif doesn’t give a damn about what people say. The friend further adds that earlier, after Rosa left, there were whispers of Saif being involved with various ladies. Saif doesn’t like the image of a Casanova at all. He thinks he’s too grown up for it. He wants stability in his life and a relationship that’s for keeps. He believes he has found it in Kareena. Saif will make this relationship work. Now, Saif and Kareena are in Greece, shooting for Tashan. Apparently, both of them spend as much time together as possible. Lately, Kareena has also been seen in public with Saif’s kids. All that’s left is for Saif to go down on one knee... Let’s wait and watch when Chhote Nawab does that!

How Adhyayan fell in love with Kangana

Adhyayan Suman has just stepped into Bollywood and he fell in love with the co-star of his second flick Kangana Ranaut. Kangana and Adhyayan have developed feelings for one another while shooting for the Bhatts, Raaz-The Mystery Continues. Adhyayan is so obsessed with lady that he vowed not to look deeply into the eyes of any other actress while shooting a romantic sequence.
"I fell in love with Kangana while shooting the song O Jaana. I had looked very deeply into her eyes." And what was it that he saw in her eyes? "The way she had put her kaajal," he laughs. "In fact, I have decided never to look so deeply into the eyes of another actress."
He adds, "I always knew that even Kangana liked me." So who proposed? "Kangana did [Laughs]. Actually, it was very mutual and obvious," he smiles.

Deepika chooses money over Shahrukh

Stars happily do cameo for their industry friends when they are approached to do so. Whether it is Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya, Shahrukh Khan, Kareena, Sanjay Dutt or whoever he or she may be though established, they never hesitate to appear for a small role in films and most of the time they even appear for free of cost. But money matters a lot for Om Shanti Om gal Deepika Padukone, she is not ready for a cameo even for the sake of friendship. Though she made her debut with Shahrukh Khan, the actress readily accepted the cheque when SRK paid her for an item number in Billo Barber. But Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra returned the cheque of 40 lakh when Shahrukh offered them whereas Deepika deposited hers in her bank. Bebo and Priyanka returned it by saying that they have done it for Shahrukh as he is their close friend and share a good personal and professional relationship.
A source close to Deepika says, "Kareena and Priyanka can afford to forego their payment as they are established actresses; Deepika is starting out. She wouldn't hear about being paid for her debut film as she felt obliged to Farah Khan and SRK for her break."
Billu Barber is a Priyadarshan flick, starring Irrfan Khan, Lara Dutta and Shahrukh Khan.
Aamir's tattoo makes life miserable for Bangalore woman
Bangalore: Sorry wrong number! Bangalorean Sarah Varghese is sick of saying that, after her number was tattooed on Aamir Khan's body in the film Ghajini.
Aamir tattoos his body with all the clues that he can get to seek revenge from the person who killed his love, Kalpana. But it's these tattoos that have brought misery to Sarah.
It was Sarah's number that was tattooed on Aamir's body which splashed on all posters across the city. Needless to say Sarah is as irritated with Ghajini as Aamir is in the movie
"I thought somebody was playing a prank but when I saw the poster I was really shocked. I was wondering how could my number feature in that and I was really shocked," said Sarah.
So as Ghajni hit the screens on the December 25 and as Aamir bashed up all the baddies he could get in the movie, life for Sarah became even more difficult.
Her phone kept ringing continuously sometimes to even 50 times a day. Sarah — who usually doesn't watch movies on the big screen — decided that enough is enough and went and watched the movie on New Year's eve.
When asked if she is planning to lodge a complaint against the producers of the movie, Sarah said,"We'll see as things come and how far it goes. The calls are now reducing, so if it stops completely now, I will not file a complaint".
Sarah might not file a complaint but one thing is sure, Aamir's memory loss has definitely made her lose sleep.
However, Sarah who despite all this is one big Aamir fan and she now just hopes that in his next movie she would have no connection with it.
The reason of Ranbir-Deepika’s break-up revealed…
The news about Ranbir and Deepika’s break-up has been flying high in the media. The much-talked about relationship of the tinsel town came to end due to the gorgeous sexy lass Katrina Kaif with whom Ranbir is doing a film titled ‘Ajab Prem Ki Gazab Kahini’. This is what happened that during the shooting Ranbir got closer to Katrina. The news reached to the dusky curvaceous Deepika and there the tiff emerged between the lovers. Although they have been together for one year but still the trust is missing between them.
Actually the relationship got bitter when Ranbir got to know that Deepika had appointed an agent to spy on his activities with Katrina. After knowing that his guy is having an affair with Katrina, the sexy siren Deepika throw Ranbir out of her life and is currently dating with a mystery man. Sources told that she was seen with that mystery man at a multiplex watching ‘Ghajini’. And they were found holding each other’s arms.
But what do you say about your past relationships with cricketers Yuvraj Singh, Mahender Singh Dhoni and model Nihar Pandhya? Did Ranbir mind it? So why do you mind if he has an affair with another gal?
We surely like to have your thoughts on Deepika and Ranbir’s break-up? Do you think that what Deepika has done…is right? Or Ranbir should not have gone for another girl? Please use the space below to comment.

I'm comfortable in army quarters: Anushka Sharma

Mumbai, Jan 2 (IANS) She has been catapulted to star status with her debut in 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'. But Anushka Sharma says she is a simple girl just like her character in the movie and has no plans to move into a plush home as she is enjoying her stay in the army quarters here.
'I kept coming to Mumbai for modelling assignments. I decided to move into Mumbai a year ago with my mom, since my dad is posted out. I haven't bought my place. Right now I'm very comfortable in the army quarters. I don't feel the need to move from where I am,' Anushka told IANS.
The actress, who has signed one more film with Yash Raj Films, says she was lucky to be brought up in Bangalore.
'Otherwise army officers, who give their lives for the country, could be posted anywhere in the back of beyond. That gets really tough on their kids. Me and my brother (who used to be a state-level cricketer) got the best of education in Bangalore,' said Anushka.
Directed by aditya chopra, the romance drama starring shah rukh khan and Anushka hit bull's eye at the box office and the collections are going strong even after three weeks.
Ask her how she managed to be so natural in her first film, Anushka said: 'All the while I was modelling in Bangalore, maybe there was an actor lurking within me. I'm crazy about my modelling work. I love the ramp and the backstage banter. I moved to Mumbai a year ago. Movies were not a priority. I don't come from a film background, don't know how the industry works. I didn't know anyone here.'
She didn't have to make a strenuous effort to act.
'Even modelling is a kind of performance. On the ramp you are representing a concept. In a film, you're projecting an individual. But the transition wasn't hard for me. Because in real life I'm as simple as the girl I play in 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi'. Yes, I do like to dress up and walk the ramp. But that isn't the real me.'
The newcomer is receiving compliments from all and sundry, but says the best came from yash chopra himself.
'He came up to me and said mine was one of the best performances he had seen by a debutante. He placed his hand on my head while saying this. So he was blessing me,' said Anushka.
Unlike other Yash Raj Films heroines, she was not presented with the poised finesse and sophistication associated with the banner.
The newcomer defends the banner, saying: 'You're right. Even when actresses are presented as seedhi-saadhi (girl next door) in a Yash Raj film, they are glamorous. And coming from a glamour background I wouldn't have minded being glossy in my first film. But you know what?
'This was such a huge opportunity. I couldn't have asked for more. I fell in love with my character and the film. It's a dream role for any debutante. I can always get into a chiffon sari in the next Yash Raj movie. Or the one after that....'
Although 'Rab Ne...' is Anushka's first film, she wasn't over-instructed for her role.
'Adi never told me what to do beyond a point. In fact, he gave me the liberty to interpret my character the way I wanted after making me read the lines. Imagine a newcomer getting so much freedom in her first film!
'I must have given Ravi Chandran (director of photography) so much grief. I knew nothing about camera angles. I didn't even understand focus marks. Shah Rukh was doing that for me. Adi and Shah Rukh made things so comfortable for me. These things matter a lot when you're starting out.'
Commenting on her co-star, Anushka says she was always a huge Shah Rukh fan.
'My dad is in the army and when they would've these functions in the mess, I'd dance to Shah Rukh's 'Kitabe bahut si padhi hogi' from 'Baazigar'. I must've been three at that time.
'I wasn't just Shah Rukh's fan. I'm his big admirer. I always loved the way he conducted himself. Now after having worked with him, I love him even more. 'Rab Ne...' was like my school where Shah Rukh and Adi were my teachers.'

Aishwarya to become mother soon
Numerology says that the Bachchan bahu is ruled by No.1 (Sun ), No.9 (Mars Negative – Scorpio ) & No. 5 (Mercury – 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 9 + 7 + 3 = 23 = 5 ) which is a strong indication of 'mangal' in her birth chart.
Ash is in her 36th year and the year says that she should keep a balance between her professional and personal life or otherwise she may landed into trouble. She is suggested to wear a red coral as this will keep her blood pressure under control. There is a bright chance for her to be pregnant.
So we can say that a new member is on the way to the Bachchan family.

Some Sexy Naughty Bitchy tales of 2008

They came we saw we groaned. Over-kill was the order of the year.
Everyone wanted a slice of the action. Broken marriages vied with steady relationships for top attention, Rakhi Sawant and Rakhi Vijeyan went from Big Boss to Big Bytes without skipping a beat. And their hijinks kept us from succumbing to our depression in a year of recession and worse. A close look at the top newsmakers of 2008
Priyanka Chopra: By far the most successful leading lady of 2008, Priyanka's smouldering performance in Fashion followed by the impish diva's act in Dostana left the competition bewildered. By year -end everyone wanted to know what Priyanka had done to herself. How about hard work?
Amitabh Bachchan: He suffered fools and politicians, he blogged. He survived another bout of illness and attacks from political outfits that claimed he didn't belong to Mumbai.
By the end of the year everyone wondered whom Mumbai belonged to! AB survived all the attacks, God and man-made. From Sarkar Raj to Raj Thackeray, he braved them all. And found time to write blog entries almost every single day. Time management to koi insey sikhe.
A R Rahman: In an era when music has been reduced to a series of programmed noises A R Rahman brought us four full-blooded melodious scores.
And what range! From the period passion of Jodhaa-Akbar to the peppy new-age hip-'hope' of Jaane Tu ….Ya Jaane Na…to the melodious balladry of Yuvraaj (Tu muskura was the best melody of the year) and finally the triumph that was Slumdog Millionaire, Rahman showed us what separated a true composer from the band-baaja wallahs of la-la land
Kareena-Saif: From the tattoo on the arm to tattu (pony) on the Alps… everything that this golden couple did in 2008 made news.
From their open confessions of mutual affections to separately-expressed agony over 26/11….even Pataudi-Sharmila didn't get so much attention. But then they didn't live in the era of tattoos, love bites and sound bytes
Avika Gore: The 11-year old small-screen queen from Balika Vadhu left all the sobbing television actresses from the Saas-Bahu sagas panting for attention. Little Avika Gore played on every middleclass individual's favourite fantasy, Mothering a child forced to grow up by circumstances. Kyunki child bhi kabhi bahu thi.
Raja Chowdhary: From Bigg Boss to Big Bully …this part-time television actor and full-time controvery ka Raja, this guy needs to be put on a leash. He represents all the pitfalls of paparazzi journalism where anyone who drops his pants in public is news worthy.
John Abraham: Dear John dropped his pants and a lot more. And boy, did he make news! To John goes the credit for getting beefcake out of the closet. Many felt John went a little too far in flaunting his physique.
But you've to hand it to the guy. He sure knows how to market his assets. In Dostana Abhishek was chosen for the acting. John was the body. He gave it all he had. And more
Aamir Khan: Standing…..er, tall next to his 6-foot nephew, or promoting his own film Ghajini at the end of the year in a hairstyle that defied gravity Aamir sure knows how to pull the plugs…and sock it. He even launched a scheme to monitor and screen mediapersons before giving them interviews. Blessed are those who got chosen.
Javed Akhtar: He recited his poem on the relevance of independence on Jan 26 in Delhi. Then he returned to Mumbai and wrote some of the trendiest songs for his son in Rock On. At 60 Javed Akhtar's pen rocks.
Rahul Mahajan: His fast-talking closet-politician's act on Bigg Boss had the nation in splits. What was the guy up to? What was he all about? Whom was he wooing, Payal or Monica? Maybe both, or none?
Maybe Rahul loved only one. Himself! Who knows! A whole soap opera could be scripted on Master Mahajan's machinations and antics inside Bigg Boss. Yup. He put the pep back into our television.
Akshay Kumar: He raked in the moolah in Singh Is Kinng in a turban, modelled for a denim jeans shirtless, dubbed for a Korean animation film without too much effort championed the cause of the underdog at the Olympics for special athletes and kept instructing key media persons what to write about him, and how.
The interviews didn't sound anything like Akshay. Yup, it was full-on re-invention time for King Khiladi.
Preity Zinta: From playing the Punjabi kudi in Heroes to breathing life into the battered wife's tortured soul in Heaven On Earth…. From helming the IPL matches to accompanying the Bachchans on their Unforgettable tour, Preity was this yaer the hawa ka jhonka here there and everywhere.
Shah Rukh Khan-Aditya Chopra: Solo, SRK made news throughout the year even when he had no releases. Things he said, didn't say. Places he went to, didn't go…any which way SRK made news.
At year-end he finally showed up on screen, teaming up with Aditya Chopra after 8 years for a film that has broken all the rules, Yes, only Rab could've made the SRK-Adi jodi.
Hrithik Perfects His Moves

Hrithik Roshan is another actor with a yen for perfection. After Aamir Khan, that is. He too believes in going the whole hog where his films are concerned, specially in preparing for his roles.
In his home production Kites, which is being produced by dad Rakesh Roshan and directed by Anurag Basu, Hrithik plays a salsa dancer, it has been learnt. Spurred on by his father, who is sparing no cost to ensure that his son surpasses all comparisons, the actor is believed to be practicing his moves very diligently. It seems that the Roshans have imported US based choreographer Flexy Stu to choreograph a dance sequence in the film. The song is currently being shot at a studio in Mumbai. It is being picturised on Hrithik and Kangna Ranaut. The song is said to be crucial to the movie as it marks the point when Kangna, realizes that she is in love with her dance instructor. Besides Kangna, the film also stars Barbara Mori, who will be shooting her sequences in January. Incidentally, besides this film, Hrithik is also believed to be shooting for Zoya Akhtar's Luck By Chance.
Aamir Khan rewrote 'Ghajini' climax

Mumbai (IANS): "Ghajini" director A.R. Murugadoss is completely enamoured with Aamir Khan's creativity and admits that the actor rewrote the entire climax of the Hindi version of the action thriller to make it more contemporary and palatable to a cosmopolitan audience.
"We didn't make too many changes in the rest of the film. Every time I'd suggest a change in 'Ghajini' from the original, Aamir would firmly cut it down, saying we should stick to the Tamil script. But he decided we should rewrite the climax. The entire location, incidents and dialogues for the climax were re-written by Aamir. I think the Hindi version is far better than the Tamil 'Ghajini' because of the changes Aamir made," Murugadoss told IANS.
"Ghajini" has grossed nearly Rs.900 million/Rs.90 crores worldwide within just five days of its release, according to its distributors.
Whatever Murugadoss makes next, he has only one wish.
"I want Aamir to be my consultant. 'Ghajini' in Hindi would have been impossible without him. What he did to the climax was amazing. Now whatever I make I want Aamir's guidance. I don't know Hindi at all. But I knew the meaning of the Tamil words and groped my way through the Hindi dialogues in 'Ghajini'. Every time I was stuck on a word or line, I'd call up Aamir. I've learnt so much from him," said the litterateur-turned-filmmaker.
Murugadoss has several short-story anthologies in Tamil to his credit.
Though many people in Mumbai feel the title role in "Ghajini" should have been played by a better-known actor, Murugadoss is happy with Pradeep Rawat. "He is not entirely unknown in Hindi cinema. He played the Sardar-ji in 'Lagaan'."
The director, however, admits he felt a little out of place in Mumbai initially.
"But today a filmmaker is not restricted to any one region. 'Ghajini' has gone so smoothly from Tamil to Hindi. Now I want to take a break, visit my native town Kallakurichi near Chennai and come back to sign my second Hindi film."
While "Ghajini" has an overdose of violence, Murugadoss says he now wants to direct a totally non-violent film in Hindi.
"My next Hindi film will be an out-and-out love story. There won't be even a slap in the narrative. I've acquired the reputation of being a violent director. But apart from 'Ghajini', all my films are soft and gentle."
