But when it comes to her birthday, which falls today, Shilpa Shetty has ensured that she spends the day with beau Raj Kundra away from the hustle bustle of metros.
As you read this, the actress must have already got rid of her jet-lag after landing at Dubai straight from New Delhi where boyfriend Raj has been personally looking into the arrangements for the special day, ensuring that every little detail is in sync with Shilpa's taste.
Speaking to Indiatimes Movies before boarding a flight for Dubai, Shilpa said, "It has been quite some time since I took some time off with the special people in my life. And my birthday seems like just the occasion to make it happen. Raj and I have great plans lined up for the day and while I cannot give them away, I am going to have a ball for sure in Dubai."
Now with a hitherto career-oriented Shilpa willing to give the much coveted IIFA a miss to spend some romantic time with her UK-based boyfriend Kundra, we would be little surprised if the astute businessman took this opportunity to gift a solitaire ring to the birthday girl and in return, ask for her hand in marriage!
